The Human redstoneer and renowned genius, Jolvis Volt, has placed himself in exile due to the events at Genhoven. Though a few years have passed, the whereabouts of Jolvis have been tracked to a remote location known as The Thorn. An Outpost has been quickly declared to be established, in order to find out what has happened to the Human genius and, potentially, what has happened to his works.

A complete map of The Thorn.

History

TO BE TIDIED UP.

Key Persons; Jolvis Volt - Male Human Genius. Think Tony Stark/Leonardo DaVinci/Willy Wonka. His work is unreplicable. Beyle - Female Human, first apprentice to Jolvis. Secretly desires his works and knowledge for her own designs (mostly terraforming the world).

  • Jolvis Volt flees Genhoven due to a specific incident.
  • His workers, followers and apprentices follow him. Beyle is the second-in-charge.
  • They flee past The Thorn, into Julnoor Province.
  • They spend the next few years building various devices to further their own projects and to transform the environment around them.
  • These works heavily change the terrain of the map, going from an icy region to one with a desert, jungle, forests and other such biomes.
  • To keep track of the potential dangers caused by these RDM's (Ruins, Devices and Mechanisms), A.D.A.M. is created.
  • 4 A.D.A.M's are placed around the map, to keep track of subtle changes in temperatures, wildlife, etc.
  • The other big creation are the Automata; essentialy metallic golems that are used to aid whatever simple tasks are needed.
  • Jolvis is either captured, or goes into a sort of reclusive exile in his lair.
  • Beyle keeps this secret to herself, essentially issuing orders with Jolvis' 'backing'.
  • The 'Voice of Volt' is her work, some invisible apparatus that delivers her word across the land in a booming voice.
  • Workers begin to form into cults that worship Jolvis, Beyle or their own creations.
  • SOME TIME PASSES
  • The First House, eager to find out where Jolvis has gone, get their agents on the case.
  • They track his last known whereabouts to The Thorn, and confirm with all the weird shit that's built there.
  • An Outpost is established, in order to locate Jolvis and hopefully rescue him, or his works and knowledge.
  • The Dwarves create Thornheim, get up to wacky hijinks.
  • Some RDM's are looked at, like the Lightning Tower and the Magma Rig.
  • As population dwindles, the Outpost is declared a failure.
  • The surviving Dwarves leave on boats, and Jolvis is left to his fate.
  • In the present day, Jolvis is presumed (or even confirmed) dead. Beyle rules that tiny portion of the world with a growing army of Automata.
